Why You Should Change The Way You Eat
If you don’t fuel up with the right nutrients, then it can affect how well your body performs as well as your overall fitness. Even though healthy eating is important, there are myths that hinder your performance if you listen to them.
When it comes to eating healthy, here are some myth busters you should avoid.
An empty stomach while working out. If there’s a rumbling in your stomach, then it’s trying to tell you something. You’re forcing your body to fun without any fuel if you don’t listen to them. Before doing any physical activity, don’t forget to eat a light snack.
Should you rely on energy bars and drinks? They may be fine every once in a while but they won’t provide you with antioxidants to prevent cancer. Fruits and vegetables are your best bets, as they are loaded in vitamins, minerals, fluid, and fiber.
Not eating breakfast. Skipping breakfast is never a good idea, as breakfast starts the day. Without fuel, you’ll be hungry throughout the day and your body needs this fuel as soon as possible.
Diets that are low in carbs. Your body needs carbohydrates for your muscles and the storing of energy.
Eating what you want. Eating healthy and exercising doesn’t give you an all access pass to eat anything you want. The same nutrients, fruits, and vegetables is what everyone needs whether they exercise or not.
Not having enough calories Although losing weight involves calories, losing it too quickly is never safe. Each week, aim for 1-2 pounds. To keep your body operating smoothly, you need to get enough calories. If you start dropping weight too fast, eat a bit more food.
