The Benefits Of Water Towards Wellness
Most dieters are familiar of the fact that weight loss and even health benefits comes in a pill-based form. Some even engage in various types of diet that meant lowering intake of some food groups or vice versa. Either the only ingredient from all these diets that is ever present is water. And recent scientific studies have been pointing out that water can also increase the rate of burning calories and fats. Surprisingly, this is a fact.
There are numerous reasons why drinking water is a necessity for people who are dieting. For one, the first few weeks or so that one experience weight loss is mostly water weight hence it is essential that dehydration is avoided. This is due to the fact that dehydration lowers the volume of blood thereby affecting the oxygen supply that our muscles need.
Aside from that dieters who are engaging in more physical activities or fitness workout should very well supply their body of water in order to maintain muscle tone and keep their joints lubricated. This lessens the soreness one may feel when exercising.
We have always known that in order to have great health we need to have at least 8 glasses of water in a day. In scientific studies it has shown that water can speed up the rate of weight loss because of the water’s ability to enhance the rate of metabolism. Research results that people who have increased fat burning ability were evident after water consumption. Although there are certain individual differences related to gender meaning that the percentage of burning calories are not of similar results. In this light, further studies actually need to be done to give a precise finding of how much effect is due to both genders.
These scientific studies do not conclude that water would be a miracle dose for increasing metabolism, in fact there are only a few calories that are being burned a day through water consumption. But look at it this way, it is better to burn a few calories than none at all.
Dieters who have taken the beneficial route of eating high amounts of fiber also needs more intake of water in order to help the digestive system avoid constipation that is sometimes associated for a high fiber type of diet.
It is also helpful to drink lots of water before meal in order to make one feel fuller hence eat a lot less. But always consider the fact that one needs to supply the body of proper calories and nutrients so it is important to choose the right kinds of foods.
