Self improvement is the reason people are increasingly moving towards the wellness philosophy. Self improvement involves the intent to make ones life better in one or more ways. The same goes with wellness. But the main difference between the two terms is that wellness is a more defined philosophy, whereas self improvement is a very general term to use. So I will discuss wellness so you can get a handle on self improvement and integrate it into your life.
For the purposes of this discussion, when I say wellness, you may want to think self improvement if that makes it easier for you. The major foundation of wellness is self responsibility. We are by and large responsible for creating our world. So aside from unforeseen and genetic circumstances, our world is the result of actions or inactions by us for our entire lives, for better and for worse.
There are those who would argue that even genetic traits and unfortunate circumstances of birth are of our own making, and that they are either carryovers (Karma) from our past lives and/or that we have asked to be born in a particular way or under a particular set of circumstances. But that discussion is best had on another day. Suffice it to say that if I do not like something about my life, I need to take responsibility for it and change it.
Wellness can best be seen on a scale, a wellness scale. On one extreme of the scale is disease and death, and on the other extreme, wellness, health, Nirvana, perfection or some other ideal that we strive towards. We are somewhere on the wellness scale in every aspect of our lives and are either moving towards disease and death or towards health and perfection.
Separating fact from fiction has become a necessity in today’s hyped up marketing world we live in, claims of magical products, natural vitamins and products that have the greatest benefits yet discovered should in fact sound a warning bell or two. And although we have become increasingly health conscious over time, we need to establish the validity of the claims made by the manufacturers of these products, and ensure that we really are contributing to our overall health and wellness by using this vitamins and minerals. This process of validation should start with ourselves, in terms of establishing whether or not we can or will in fact benefit from the use of these vitamins and related products.
A search across the internet or even in the local library provides great resources in so far as function and related benefits of vitamins and minerals are concerned, but an understanding of our current health should be taken into account too. Especially when considering the use of these products and looking to improve our health and wellness in general. There are also some specific product and marketing claims that can warn you against the validity of the health and wellness vitamins or products, and often times when something makes the claims that may seem too good to be true, the answer is that it probably is.

Generally men and women alike must exercise for them to establish and maintain a healthy state of mind and body. Without exercise so many debilitating illnesses and conditions can attack us with no mercy or shame. But it appears the need for fitness and wellness for women is a far greater need than that of their male counterparts. Regardless, I will outline a few fitness and wellness for women tips in particular.
It is only recently that I have heard of the fitness and wellness boot camps. A fitness boot camp is just like the typical boot camps whereby a group of people go out into a sort of wilderness to work on aspects of their personality, physique or even for major league teams trying to have one last training session before the all important finals.
When a bunch of women detach themselves from their usual home environment to do this they are exposed to a consistent and fairly extreme exercise mentorship. Here they are driven to the very last extreme their nerves can handle and they work seriously on their wellness and fitness. These boot camps are no ordinary training procedures; they are serious and really technical.
Because the exercise regimes are consistent and structured they provide an efficient work out plan that is destined to work. The pressure exerted during these boot camps is specific inasmuch as lot of people would like to believe that it is random and without reference to physiological and biological needs and expectations.
In addition to a physical work out plan all women dedicated towards wellness and fitness must focus on their diets as well. It does not quite help to be involved in so many different exercises if you are not doing anything to make sure you maintain your body in its shape. This is why commitment is necessary for anyone who embarks on physical training methods as a way to maintain good health and wellnes.
